System Requirements

The Ripple Effects for Kids and Teens programs are online, web-based apps for Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browsers. They can be run on most types of devices that support those browsers: Windows PC or Mac computers, Chromebooks, iPads, Android and Windows tablets.

The Bouncy app for early learners is for iPads and iPhones, and Android tablets and phones. It’s downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

Up-to-date web browser: Chrome browser preferred; will also run in Firefox and Safari browsers. (Safari recommended for iPad)

Headphones for classroom use. All of our apps have full audio that is important for their use. It can be turned off, but headphones are preferable when there are multiple users in a setting.

Four domains may need to be cleared (“white listed”) in security settings:

For browser-based apps, the program contents and user records are hosted on Cloud servers. User data is heavily encrypted and stored on a HIPAA certified secure server. Security settings must allow for larger content files for audio and video to be accessed from the Web.

Preview requirements

Our previews are browser-based apps – just like the regular versions. If you’re having trouble connecting to a preview program online, most likely it’s because your school or district security settings are blocking access. You will need to ask you technologist to clear the domains listed above. Contact us for details.
