About your privacy

Surveys are only useful if people tell the truth. People only tell the truth if they feel safe – – confident it won’t be used against them.

To ensure the safety and confidentiality of your answers, we have made it impossible to put your name anywhere in the survey. (Except for the administrator, who is our contact.) Based on the link you were sent, all of your answers will get bundled up with others in your same group: students with students, parents with parents, etc. Each person – and only that person – sees their own result as a highlighted dot on a bar that shows the combined results of their group as a whole.

This survey does not include questions about behavior outside of a school context, so in most school districts, parents’ permission isn’t needed for students to complete the survey or view the results.

From time to time Ripple Effects reviews results of all schools together. In that process the identity of individual schools and their administrators is always shielded. Neither individual school nor district names will ever be disclosed to third parties without explicit written permission from the school involved. If your school wishes to make their data available to an outside researcher or consultant, the school administrator must authorize us in writing to do so.
